From plain text management with no cross linking or internal lookups through to current day internet programming using JavaScript, LotusScript and Java, Jade Cat works at the forefront of the industry.

Using project management skills gained over many years of working in the industry our designers can take anything from an idea in someone's head to a fully working Domino-based extranet and work with you to improve it.

From the start we will work closely with you to ascertain exactly what you want. We will specify in detail the requirements and projected deliverables, and if Lotus Notes or Domino is not the best way forward we will tell you.

This will probably mark the end of the project for us as we specialise in Lotus solutions, but we strongly believe that honesty is the best way to deal with customers, and if that means we won't be working with you then that is OK. We prefer a quick happy ending to a long drawn out difficult project that ends up not working!

On the other hand, if we think that Lotus Notes can do what you want, we strongly believe that Jade Cat could do a good job of designing, developing, setting up, rolling out and even remotely administering your system for you if you wish.

Yes, we know big words like dynamic life-cycle development and SSADM and we will use both the words and their meanings if circumstances require, but the main thing to remember is that we will work with you as well as for you.

Lotus Notes and Domino projects lend themselves to Rapid Application Development (RAD - there you go: another TLA for you!) and small projects can be completed simply with a repeated design and test cycle. However the same RAD functionality means that larger, more complex project design needs strict control or "design creep" can easily set in.

We are flexible enough to work the way you want. Our methods can range from open-ended design with integrated end-user piloting of the system as it develops all the way to fully specified phased projects with multiple milestones and deliverables associated with each phase of development.

Jade Cat Ltd. will be happy to be involved in all aspects of project work from initial client meetings through creating technical specifications for the project, design, development and set-up of systems, end user documentation and application roll out, all the way to user training and help-desk support of the live systems.
